Say hello to the latest Parisian classy getaway.

A glamorous opening night party ushered in a new era of luxury in Paris recently, when the latest addition to the Mandarin Oriental chain of 41 hotels in 26 countries welcomed guests for the first time in late last year.

The guest list was sprinkled with Hollywood glamour and Old World excellence as Liam Neeson, Alain Delon and Julie Depardieu partied on the Rue Saint-Honor.
Vanessa Mae, the internationally renowned virtoso violinist, entertained the guests as they tucked into a menu designed by chef Thierry Marx, the hotel’s resident chef.

“This chic gala was the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of our luxury brand to Paris,” said Edouard Ettedgui, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s CEO.

“We look forward to welcoming guests to our newest address, and to establishing the hotel a a benchmark in the city for service, excellence, elegance and style.”

Vive la France: Ah Paris. The hotel couldn’t be better positioned, occupying one of the premium spots in the city’s illustrious CBD. Surrounded by history, and with the Louvre is just moments away as well as fashionable shopping strips, the Mandarin Oriental Paris has 138 rooms and suites, many of which are the most spacious on offer in the city.

A vast inner courtyard offers outdoor dining during balmy summer evenings, there’s a spa, and an indoor pool.

And for those with a few extra bucks to spend, there’s a very special suite just for you.

The Royal Mandarin Suite is spectacularly luxurious  with 360 degree views over Paris from a large dining terrace.

Downstairs the living room is a sweeping space flooded with light, with a dining room, bar and study.

The interior is described as ‘sensual and personal’; every piece of furniture and art was specially commissioned such as the staircase which forms a vertical sculpture in guilloche metal.

The top floor bedroom is grand in size, dominated by a romantic Man Ray image embroidered in silk. There is a private gym and lavish bathroom with steam room; where you can soak in style with views of the Eiffel Tower.

And the cost per night? A snip at a mere $26,000.
